USS Kidd Warships Of World War 2 75th Anniversary Coin was crafted with the level of detail a US Navy challenge coin deserves. Featuring the strong bow line and superstructure of this famous US Navy destroyer. She was named after Rear Admiral Isaac C Kidd who lost his life on the bridge of the USS Arizona t the Pearl Harbor attack. Her 5 x 5″ inch gins, 6 x 40mm, 7 x 20mm anti aircraft guns and 10 x 21inch torpedo tubes made her a formidable warship. The last of the WW2 configured Fletcher-Class destroyers still on the water.

The US flag in red and blue with silver accents are displayed. The nickname “Pirate Of The Pacific” is also carved into the coin. With 12 battle stars from her actions in WW2 they are ornately displayed at the top of the coin. Sun rays are seen behind the warship and a deep colorful blue sea completes the scene.
