The US flag in red and blue with silver accents and the great state of Wisconsin are also displayed. The nickname “Wisky” is also carved into the coin along with its hull number BB-64. With 6 battle stars from her actions in WW2 they are ornately displayed at the top of the coin. This Iowa-Class battleship was responsible for hitting Japanese homeland military installations and factories in the war. She was launched Dec 7, 1943, exactly 2 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor. rays are seen behind the warship and a deep colorful blue sea completes the scene.
