Battleship Row was the name given to the line of battleships moored along Ford Island in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, at the time of the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941. The row included eight battleships, and it was the primary target of the Japanese attack. We created the line of Battleships of Pearl Harbor US Navy Challenge Coins in their honor.
During the attack, Japanese aircraft targeted the battleships on Battleship Row with bombs and torpedoes, and they were able to severely damage or sink several of the ships. The USS Arizona, USS Oklahoma, and USS West Virginia were all sunk during the attack, and the USS California, USS Maryland, and USS Tennessee were heavily damaged.
