Description

Danu Celtic Mother Goddess of Nature of the Tuatha Dé Danann Ancient Rainbow Cup Collectible Coin

Discover the mystery and magic of the ancient Celtic Rainbow Cup Coins, inspired by distinctive gold and silver coinage struck by Celtic peoples of Central Europe more than 2,000 years ago, particularly during the second and first centuries BC. Recognized for their unusual curved, bowl-like shape and intricate symbols, these ancient treasures earned the name “rainbow cups” from European folklore claiming they appeared where a rainbow touched the earth—a legend strengthened by coins emerging from fields after heavy rain. Used in the Celtic world as valuable currency and potentially as stores of wealth, gifts, or ritual offerings, their abstract designs reflect the remarkable artistry and cultural traditions of the ancient Celts. Today, Rainbow Cup Coins preserve the fascination of a lost age, bringing together ancient craftsmanship, enduring legend, and the timeless allure of Celtic history.
