USS Indianapolis Warships of World War 2 75th Anniversary Coin was crafted with the level of detail a US Navy challenge coin deserves. Featuring the strong bow line and superstructure of this famous Portland-Class heavy cruiser with its detailed 9 8 inch mounted guns, 8 5″ guns and more. The US flag in red and blue with silver accents is also displayed. Her secret WW2 mission of delivering parts for the atomic bomb Little Boy made this warship historic. She was sunk after returning from Midway and experienced the largest shark attack in history. The atomic bomb is displayed on the front of the coin. She was the flagship of Admiral Spruance as well. She was awarded 10 battle stars during her active service.
